i am not exactly a "cat person" and neither is Derby - we both tend to be indifferent to cats. but two weeks ago new neighbors moved in across from us, and their two cats always come running to the window and actually Meow whenever we walk by. i have never seen cats react to a dog like that. they even wag their tails. Derby likes it and always sniffs them Hello through the window, in fact, i think he looks forward to seeing them.
today i took some photos and they LOVED it, they kept jumping and playing and posing.

Derby should definitely meet Biscuits then cause he's a dog friendly cat and, while he's too proud to admit it, he misses Gravy. Every time Biscuits would come in the house Gravy would rush over and sniff his butt. Sometimes when we were all curled up on the couch together Biscuits would even lick/clean Gravy's forehead (he does this to me too- I have the best groomed eyebrows on the block)! Many cute pictures of the two of them on our blog- I know there are several in our very first post aptly named (I am apt to be anywhere...) "Dogs and Cats...Living Together!"
PS: Biscuits favorite position to sleep these days is on his back and fully stretched out, like Superman only upside-down. Sort of like the picture in our 3/08/06 entry except he usually has his arms fully extended in front of his head and he's like that for HOURS...I'll send photos...
