everyone told me last year when i came back from europe, i'd miss it terribly the first few weeks i was home.
it took me a full year to catch up to that, though. every day this month i've been dreaming of my 3 month vacation, and today is probably the worst yet, since last year on this day i was in Cinque Terre, Italy. ugh!!!

Funny, cause I was just listening to a playlist and Joni Mitchell's California came on which now always reminds me of your blog entry about it and your European trip & makes me think about the state of the world/our coutry/the war and also makes me wonder what the hell is a Sunset pig is (since I you were the one who made me aware of that lyric)! So I finally googled it and the leading theory is that it refers to cops on Sunset Blvd who would crack down on all those damn hippie kids in the 70's who would hang out and get wasted at the clubs on the Sunset Strip.
I've been yearning for Europe lately too- I ran into a friend I was in Cannes with on the 7th anniversary (YIKES!!!) of our meeting there. I can't believe it was soo long ago and that I haven't been back since!
PS- Luhftansa has great deals on flights in the fall...
my coworker is going to europe for a month next year. i'm super jealous!! i told her they HAVE to go to portugal (since it's right next door to spain, which they're also going to). i recommended they go to salema, as well as lisbon.
